Black Friday Business

On Friday a stampede of eager shoppers invaded the Vacaville retail outlets at 12:01 am.

In the early morning of Friday Nov. 28 the Vacaville retail outlet stores opened for “Black Friday” with an abundance of special deals, there were hundreds of shoppers waiting in lines jetting from the store fronts and wrapping around corners.

Maggie Lo a customer at Puma said “I have been waiting since 9:30 pm for Puma to open.”

“Most things in the store are going to be up to 65% off I’m hoping to get some new shoes and maybe some new workout cloths.” Said Lo

When asked what time he had to report to work John Woodard said “I had to be at work today at 8:30 to prepare for the sale.”

Woodard also mentioned “The first customer I saw arrived at around 11 pm tonight.”

“The overall business of Black Friday is actually down from last year, I think it is due to the state of the economy.” Said Marri Hatch manager of Fossil, a watch store at the factory outlet.

“The crowd is just not as bad this year.” Hatch said happily.
